Carleton University formally installed Nikita (Nik) Nanos as its 13th Chancellor during spring convocation on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 3 p.m.

A renowned public opinion researcher and founder of Nanos Research, Nanos has informed Canada’s national narrative for decades. A member of the Order of Canada and former Chair of Carleton’s Board of Governors, he brings deep institutional insight and national influence to the role. 

As Chancellor, Nanos will preside over convocation ceremonies and represent Carleton’s values as an ambassador across Canada and beyond — further elevating the university’s reputation and reach.
