Ambassadors are the face of Carleton at the ceremonies and play a number of key roles. They greet and direct attendees, answer questions and escalate concerns, and oversee the VIP and special accommodation seating areas. Ambassadors also assist with the graduate lineup and procession and help direct guests after the ceremony. This exciting opportunity is open to both faculty and staff, and we are encouraging members of the Carleton community to volunteer for several shifts, if possible. Training will be provided.
Ambassadors for the June 2022 Convocation ceremonies will be asked to volunteer for a minimum of three shifts during the two weeks of ceremonies (June 13 – 17 and June 20 – 24). The first week of ceremonies is for returning graduates from 2020 and 2021, and the second week of ceremonies is for 2022 graduates.
Each week there will be four ceremonies per day. Ambassador shifts will cover two ceremonies (AM or PM).
- AM Shift: 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- PM Shift: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.*
*Please note: The PM shift will not cover the entirety of the fourth ceremony.
The complete schedule of ceremonies for both weeks is available on the Ceremony Information website.
