Convocation is a significant milestone for Carleton University graduates and a meaningful celebration shared with their families and friends. Across campus, many staff and students help capture these moments through photography and recording on behalf of the university and its departments.
To support a respectful, inclusive and well‑run ceremony, Carleton has established photography and recording guidelines for staff and students participating in Convocation coverage. These guidelines help ensure that photography and recording activities complement rather than distract from our graduates’ experiences, guest sightlines and the flow of the ceremony.

Registration Form
To help us coordinate access and ensure appropriate credentials, all individuals covered by the photography and recording guidelines are asked to register in advance through the Convocation website. Registration allows the Convocation team to provide authorization credentials and direct staff and student photographers and videographers to appropriate locations.
